The Real Problem

You're not short on work.
You're short on evenings.

You haven't had dinner with your family all week. You're answering the phone at 9:30 at night, you're the bottleneck on every decision, and if you took a vacation, the whole thing would stop. That's not a lead problem. It's a time problem — and it's the one we fix.

What You Actually Get

Everything below has one job:
give you your time back.

Built for roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home service businesses throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico. The software is the mechanism. Time is the product.

Never stop what you're doing to answer the phone again.

Someone answers every call — day, night, Saturday. Books the job, or texts them back in 60 seconds. The call you can't take still turns into a job.

AI Front Desk · included in every plan

Every quote gets chased until it's a yes or a no. Not by you.

Text and email follow-up on every estimate, on a schedule, until it's answered. Cold quotes come back to life while you're on the next job.

Estimate follow-up

The customers you already earned, coming back without you chasing them.

One friendly text from your business to the people you've already served. The ones who've been meaning to call you finally do.

Database reactivation

Jobs land on the calendar while you're under a house.

Customers pick a time in two taps and it goes straight onto your schedule — on a local number your customers recognize.

Booking calendar

Your reputation grows on the nights you're not working.

Every happy customer gets asked for a review, automatically, after every job. Stars win the click — and the call.

Review engine

Stop guessing which marketing worked. It's on one screen.

Every lead, every job, every dollar — down to which text became which invoice. If you can't see the return, you shouldn't pay for it.

Every Home Trade

One system.
Your trade's version of it.

The time leak looks a little different in every trade. The fix is the same: the phone answers itself, the follow-up runs itself, and the evening stays yours.

HVAC technician checking gauges on a rooftop unit

HVAC

Peak season rings the phone off the hook while you're on a job — then the slow months go quiet.

The fix → 60-second text-back, plus reactivation that fills the shoulder seasons.

Plumber repairing a residential pipe system

Plumbing

Emergencies happen at night. The homeowner books the first shop that answers.

The fix → instant response, day or night, so the job is yours — and nobody had to be awake.

Electrician working on ceiling wiring in a home

Electrical

Estimates go cold while you're behind a panel — nobody chases the quote, so it dies.

The fix → automatic follow-up until every estimate is a yes or a no. Not by you.

Roofer installing shingles on a residential roof

Roofing

The storm hits and everyone calls at once. Slow follow-up loses inspections to faster crews.

The fix → catch the surge, book the inspections, chase every quote — while you run crews.

Landscaping crew mowing and planting a residential lawn

Landscaping & Lawn

The spring rush buries you in quotes. Half never get an answer — and the season moves on.

The fix → every quote answered before the season passes, while you're out on the mower.

Residential home with double garage doors

Garage Doors & More

Most of your work is same-day. A missed call isn't a delay — it's a job gone for good.

The fix → a 60-second answer that wins the same-day job.

Where We Work

Four states.
One promise.

Mapatano & Company is headquartered in Fort Collins and works with contractors across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico. Local knowledge. Regional scale. And because everything we install runs in the cloud, we've never needed to be in your truck to fix your phone.

Colorado — Home Base

The Front Range knows us by name.

Fort Collins · Loveland · Greeley · Windsor · Timnath · Wellington · Berthoud · Longmont · Estes Park · the I-25 corridor

This is home. When hail comes through, you don't have a lead problem — you have a "who's answering the phone" problem, because every roof on the street called somebody back before you did. Swamp-cooler conversions, chinook winds, freeze-ups at the worst possible hour: we built for all of it, from right here in Fort Collins.

Wyoming

The drive time is yours. The phone is ours.

Cheyenne · Casper · Laramie · Gillette · Sheridan · Rock Springs · Jackson

An hour between jobs is a normal Tuesday out here — and in a town where reputation moves faster than any ad, one missed call costs three referrals. You're already spending half your day behind the wheel. That's the half you can't get back. The phone is the half we can.

Utah

On the Wasatch Front, the answer wins the job.

Salt Lake City · Provo · Orem · Lehi · Ogden · Sandy · Park City · St. George

The densest competition in the region lives here — the job doesn't go to the best contractor, it goes to the one who answered. Hard water eating equipment, inversion-season air quality calls, new construction everywhere. You can win the answer without picking up. St. George included: different climate, same promise.

New Mexico

A system beats a memory. Every time.

Albuquerque · Rio Rancho · Santa Fe · Las Cruces · Farmington · Roswell

A swamp-cooler-to-refrigerated-air conversion isn't a same-day yes. It's three weeks of "let me talk to my wife" — and those three weeks are where the money leaks. Monsoon season, high-desert UV, sales built on relationships and patience: we built the follow-up that keeps the conversation warm without you carrying it.

From the Front Range to the Wasatch. From the Powder River Basin to the Rio Grande.

Colorado · Wyoming · Utah · New Mexico — one system, same promise. Headquartered in Fort Collins.

How It Works

Three days to install. Fourteen days to prove it. Then it just runs.

No six-month contracts. No "strategy phase." We plug in, wake up your old customers, and show you the money before you commit to anything bigger.

Step 1 — Days 1–3: The Install

We wire your phone to answer itself.

Three days. You don't learn any software, you don't sit through training, you don't change how you work. By Friday, every call you miss gets a text back in 60 seconds — while you're still elbow-deep in the job that made you miss it.

Under the hood

We build your system — missed-call text-back, estimate follow-up, review requests, and a booking calendar — then connect it to your existing phone number. Your customers never know anything changed. Except now, you answer.

Step 2 — Days 4–14: The Wake-Up Call

Your old customers have money for you. We go get it.

Somewhere in your phone is every customer you've ever served. We send them one friendly text from your business — and the ones who've been meaning to call you finally do. Booked jobs hit your calendar before you've spent a dollar on ads.

Under the hood

This is the $500 Reactivation Test. We write it, send it, and handle every reply. You approve the offer, then watch the calendar. Doesn't clear 2–3× your money in booked work? You get the $500 back. On qualifying lists we'll double it — we'll tell you which one you are on the call, before you pay anything.

Step 3 — Day 15 and on: You Run Trucks. We Run This.

You go home when the last job's done — not when the last quote's chased.

The system follows up on every estimate until it's a yes or a no. Answers every lead at 2pm and 2am. Asks every happy customer for a review. You do the work you actually like. The paperwork chases itself.

Under the hood

Monthly plans from $2,000. Every dollar tracked — you'll see exactly which text became which job, down to the invoice. If you can't see the return, you shouldn't pay for it. That's the whole philosophy.

The math we're betting on: you're one missed call away from a $4,000 job every week. We're $500 away from proving we can catch it.

Run Your Own Number

What is the phone costing you
while you're working?

Every missed call is a job that goes to the next shop — and an evening you'll spend chasing the ones that didn't. Move the sliders. We count it fairly.

We count it fairly: we assume only 1 out of every 4 missed calls would have booked. The real number is often higher.

Jobs walking out the door
$10,800/mo

That's 5 booked jobs a month going to the next shop — from calls you already paid to make ring.

Nobody has to be awake
for your business to answer.

This is the part most owners have to imagine. You shouldn't have to. Here's what the system does with a missed call — and with a whole customer, start to finish.

Product demo · the exact kind of text your missed calls trigger

The text comes from your business. In your voice.

You approve the wording before anything goes out. Your customers see your company name and your number — never ours. It runs at 2pm and 2am, on the days you're slammed and the days you're gone.

  • Missed call → text back in 60 seconds, every time
  • Customer books a time without you touching the phone
  • Every conversation lands in one place, tagged to the job
  • You see it all on one screen — down to the invoice

One Customer, Start To Finish

What the system does
while you work.

A lead comes in

A call, a form, a Google click, a referral — it all lands in one place, tagged by where it came from.

They hear back in 60 seconds

Day or night. No voicemail, no waiting, no calling your competitor.

The appointment lands on your calendar

They pick a time in two taps. You find out from your schedule, not your voicemail.

Reminders go out on their own

Fewer no-shows, without anyone in your office lifting a finger.

The estimate gets chased to an answer

Text and email, on a schedule, until it's a yes or a no. Not by you.

The review request sends itself

Job done, invoice paid, happy customer asked — automatically.

Six months later, they come back

A friendly reactivation text from your business — and the customer you already earned calls you again.

How Pricing Works

Three things to know.
That's it.

01

The $500 test comes first

Paid once. Three days to install, eleven to prove it. Doesn't clear 2–3× your money in booked work? The $500 comes back — on qualifying lists, doubled.

02

Monthly plans from $2,000

No percent of your revenue. No per-lead fees. No surprise add-ons. Your exact flat rate depends on your trade, your towns, and your trucks — Abe gives you the number on the free call. A straight answer, first call.

03

No six-month contracts

No "strategy phase." The test proves it before you commit to anything bigger — and you own everything we build. If you ever leave, you keep it all.

And here's the honest math: for most shops the monthly system costs less than two average jobs — it pays for itself on the first one or two jobs it recovers. If you can't see the return, you shouldn't pay for it.

The Guarantee, In Plain Words

Doesn't clear 2–3× your money in booked work? You get the $500 back. On qualifying lists, we'll double it.

We'll tell you on the call which one you are — before you pay anything. Most agencies get paid whether it works or not. We don't think you should pay for marketing you can't see working. Read the full terms below — they're part of the deal, not fine print.

No six-month contracts

No "strategy phase." We plug in, prove it in fourteen days, and you decide what happens next. We keep clients with results, not contracts.

You own it all

Every system, funnel, and automation we build is yours. If you ever leave, you keep everything.

A direct line to Abe

Call or text 719-534-3505. A real person answers the same day. No tickets. No runaround.

Hands-on by design

We onboard a limited number of new systems each month so every install stays hands-on. That's the filter — not a countdown clock.

The guarantee, in full

  • The $500 Reactivation Test. We install your system in days 1–3, then send one reactivation campaign — written by us, approved by you — to your past-customer list, and handle every reply. The test window is days 4–14.
  • The refund. If the booked work from the test doesn't clear 2–3× your $500, we refund the $500. That part has no conditions — no forms to dig up, no hoops, no hard feelings.
  • The double-back. On lists that clear our internal safety math — roughly 300 or more past customers with phone numbers on file — we double it: your $500 back, plus $500. Smaller lists are refund-only. We tell you which guarantee applies on the call, before you pay anything.
  • What "booked work" means. Jobs scheduled from the test with a name, a number, and a time on your calendar. You'll see every one in your dashboard — down to which text became which job.
  • What happens after. Monthly plans (from $2,000/month) are separate from the test and start only if you choose to continue. If you can't see the return, you shouldn't pay for it. That's the whole philosophy.
The Honest Filter

Who this works for —
and who it doesn't.

The $500 test only makes sense if the math can work in your favor. Knowing whether you fit saves everyone time — and if you don't, we'll tell you. We work with owner-run shops across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico.

This works if

  • You've got a few hundred past customers with phone numbers on file
  • You're owner-run — you make the decisions
  • You've got room on the calendar for more work
  • Average ticket north of $300 on service, or $5,000-plus on installs and replacements
  • Residential work, five-plus years in

This doesn't work if

  • You're brand new and haven't built a customer list yet
  • You're booked solid and don't want more work
  • You're a franchise where someone else makes the call
If your list is too small, we'll tell you on the call — and point you at something that fits better instead of selling you something that won't work.
Common Questions

Before you book,
read this.

What exactly is the guarantee?
The $500 Reactivation Test comes with two layers. If the test doesn't clear 2–3× your money in booked work, you get the $500 back — that part is unconditional. On qualifying lists (roughly 300+ past customers with phone numbers on file), we double it: your $500 back, plus $500. We tell you which one you are on the free call, before you pay anything. Full terms are here.
What does it cost?
The Reactivation Test is $500, flat. Ongoing monthly plans start at $2,000 a month, and the exact number depends on your shop — your trade, your towns, your trucks. Abe gives you a straight answer on the free call. For most shops the monthly system costs less than two average jobs.
Will a robot be talking to my customers?
The texts come from your business, in your voice, and you approve the campaign before anything goes out. Your customers see your company name and your number — never ours. They never know anything changed. Except now, you answer.
Do I have to learn new software?
No. Three days to install, and you don't learn any software, you don't sit through training, you don't change how you work. We connect to your existing phone number and run it for you. Your part is about two hours in week one.
How fast will I see something?
Install takes three days. The Reactivation Test runs days 4 through 14 — booked jobs hit your calendar before you've spent a dollar on ads. After that, it just runs.
Which trades do you work with?
Owner-run home service trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, garage doors and more. The leaks look the same in every trade. We work with contractors across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. No six-month contracts, no strategy phase. The $500 test proves it before you commit to anything bigger — and you own everything we build. If you ever leave, you keep it all.
What if my customer list is small or old?
Then we'll tell you on the call. The guarantee math needs a real list — roughly 300 or more past customers with phone numbers on file. If yours is smaller, we'll point you at something that fits better instead of selling you something that won't work.

About

Why our product
is time.

Mapatano & Company exists so the people who build things get their evenings back. Here's where that idea comes from.

Meet Abraham
Abraham Mapatano, founder and CEO of Mapatano & Company, in Fort Collins, Colorado
Abraham MapatanoFounder & CEO · Colorado State University

Meet Abraham.

Abraham's family came to the United States from the Democratic Republic of Congo during a civil war. They came with one belief: education creates impact. His father was a teacher. His mother built a nonprofit that has helped thousands of widows and orphans.

Watching people like that work taught him something most owners already know in their bones: the people who build things rarely get their time back — unless something is built to protect it.

Today Abraham studies economics at Colorado State University and runs Mapatano & Company from Fort Collins, serving owner-run shops across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico. The company sits on one idea: most businesses don't fail for lack of ambition — they fail for lack of systems. So that's what we install. Systems that answer, follow up, and book, so the hours you used to spend chasing all of it come back to you.

That's why the slogan isn't a slogan. It's the product: more time for what matters.

"Questions don't wait. Opportunities don't wait. Neither do we."

When you sign, you're not handed off to a stranger. You meet with Abraham in week one — and you can call or text him directly at 719-534-3505, any time.

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information — and how we handle texting, email, and phone calls.

We built this policy the way we'd want one written for us: in plain English, without a wall of legalese you need a lawyer to decode.

Here's the short version. We collect information so we can help you grow your business. We only text, email, or call you if you've told us it's okay — or if you reached out to us first. We never sell your information, and we never share your phone number with anyone for their marketing. And any time you'd rather we stopped, one word from you is enough.

The rest of this document is the detail behind those promises. If anything here is unclear, call us. A real person will pick up.

1Who We Are

2The Information We Collect

The short version

Contact details, what you've told us about your business, how you use our website, and — if you become a client — billing information. That's it. We don't go looking for anything we don't need.

Information you give us directly

  • Contact information: your name, business name, job title, mailing address, email address, and phone number (including your mobile number if you give it to us).
  • Business information: what your company does, your service area, roughly what you spend on marketing, your goals, and anything else you share on a call or in a form.
  • Communication content: the messages, emails, voicemails, and form submissions you send us, and our notes from conversations with you.
  • Consent records: when and how you agreed to be contacted, and what you agreed to. See Section 9.
  • Billing information (clients only): billing contact, address, and payment method. Card and bank details go directly to our payment processor — we never store your full card number on our systems.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or ad that sent you to us.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 15.
  • Communication metadata: whether an email was delivered and opened, whether a link was clicked, whether a text was delivered, and the date, time, and length of phone calls.

Information from other sources

  • Business data providers and public records: business names, addresses, business phone numbers, business email addresses, industry, and company size, from commercially available databases and public sources.
  • Referrals: if someone refers you to us, we may receive your name and contact information from them.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms: aggregated information about how our ads performed.
Worth knowing

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information — things like Social Security numbers, health information, precise location, biometric data, or details about your race, religion, sexual orientation, or immigration status. Please don't send us any of that. If you do, we'll delete it.

3How We Get Your Information

We want to be straightforward about this, because how we got your information determines how we're allowed to contact you.

  • You came to us. You filled out a form, requested a quote, booked a call, subscribed to something, texted our number, or called us. When you do this, you're giving us permission to reply.
  • You gave us your number in person or on a call. Same idea — we'll note when and how you gave it.
  • We reached out to your business first. We use publicly available and commercially licensed business contact information to introduce ourselves to companies we think we can help. When we do this, we identify ourselves clearly, we tell you why we're calling or writing, and we honor a "no thanks" immediately and permanently.
  • You're a client, or you work at one. Then we contact you about the work — because that's the job.

4How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to:

  • Reply to you and answer your questions.
  • Send you the information, quote, proposal, or resource you asked for.
  • Schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments and calls.
  • Deliver, manage, and report on the marketing services you hired us to do.
  • Send you marketing about our services — only where we're permitted to, and only until you tell us to stop.
  • Bill you and keep our books straight.
  • Improve our website, our ads, and our services.
  • Keep records of consent and opt-outs, so we can prove we respected your choices.
  • Protect against fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not profile you for that purpose.

5Text Messages (SMS & MMS)

The short version

We text you only if you opted in. Reply STOP to opt out — one word and we stop, no questions, no hard feelings. Reply HELP and we'll help. Your mobile number never goes to anyone else for marketing.

How you opt in

We send text messages only to people who have given us prior express written consent to receive them — or who texted us first. You can opt in by:

  • Checking an unchecked consent box on one of our forms (we never pre-check it for you);
  • Texting a keyword to our number;
  • Telling us in writing, or confirming verbally on a recorded call, that it's okay to text you.

Consent to receive marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us. You can hire us and never receive a single text.

What to expect

Who's textingMapatano & Company LLC. Our first message to you identifies us by name.
What we sendAppointment confirmations and reminders, replies to your questions, account and service updates, and — if you opted into marketing — occasional offers and helpful resources.
How oftenMessage frequency varies. For marketing messages, expect roughly 2–6 per month. Transactional messages (like an appointment reminder) are sent as needed.
CostWe don't charge you for texts, but message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Check with your carrier.
CarriersMobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery isn't guaranteed, and messages may not be supported on all carriers or devices.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to opt out. Reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop texting you. You can also reply END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT — or simply ask us in your own words. We'll get it.

You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and then nothing further. If we ever need to clarify which messages you want to stop, that clarifying message will be sent once, will contain no marketing, and will never be used as an excuse to keep texting you. If you don't reply to it, we stop everything.

Getting help

Reply HELP to any message, or call us at (719) 534-3505, and we'll take care of you.

Our mobile data promise

No mobile information or phone number collected through our text messaging program will be sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Information you give us when opting in to text messages is used only to run that messaging program. We share it only with the service providers who help us send the messages — and they are contractually forbidden from using it for anything else. Text messaging opt-in data and consent records are never shared for marketing.

6Phone Calls, Automated Calls & AI Voice

The short version

If a call to you is automated, uses a prerecorded message, or uses an AI voice, we get your written permission first — and the call tells you upfront who's calling and that the voice is automated. You can opt out during the call itself.

Live calls

We may call you if you asked us to, if you gave us your number in connection with a quote or an inquiry, if you're a client, or if we're introducing ourselves to your business by calling a publicly listed business line. On every call, we identify ourselves as Mapatano & Company and tell you why we're calling.

Automated, prerecorded, and AI-voice calls

Some of our calls — and some of the calls we make on behalf of clients — may use an automatic telephone dialing system, a prerecorded or artificial voice, or an AI-powered voice agent that can hold a natural conversation.

We treat all of these the same way, and we hold ourselves to these rules:

  • Consent first. We place marketing calls of this kind only to people who have given prior express written consent. For calls that are purely informational (for example, confirming an appointment you booked), we rely on the prior express consent you gave when you provided your number for that purpose.
  • We say who we are, immediately. At the start of the call we state the name of the business calling and, on prerecorded and AI calls, provide a phone number you can call back.
  • We disclose that it's automated. If you're talking to an AI voice agent or hearing a prerecorded message, we tell you so at the beginning of the call. We will not pretend a machine is a person, and we will not imitate a real person's voice.
  • You can stop it mid-call. Every automated call includes an easy way to opt out during the call — say "stop," "do not call," or "remove me," or press the key we tell you to press. That opt-out is honored automatically.
  • You can always get a human. Ask for a person and you'll get one, or we'll call you back. You are never trapped in a conversation with a robot.
  • Reasonable hours. We don't make telemarketing calls before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. in your local time zone.
  • No emergency lines. We never autodial emergency numbers, hospital rooms, or similar lines.
Please note

Consent to receive automated or AI-voice calls is not required to purchase anything from us, and we will never make it a condition of doing business.

7Call Recording & Monitoring

We may record or monitor calls for quality, training, accuracy, and record-keeping. When we do, we tell you at the start of the call, before any recording begins, and we ask for your permission. If you'd prefer not to be recorded, just say so — we'll either turn the recording off or continue without it. You can also ask us to delete a recording of your call at any time.

Recordings and call notes are stored securely, kept only as long as we need them, and never sold or used for advertising. Where the law requires the consent of everyone on the line, we obtain it.

8Email

The short version

Every marketing email we send says who we are, includes our real address, and has a working unsubscribe link. One click and you're out.

  • Honest headers and subject lines. Our "from" name is real, and our subject lines describe what's actually inside.
  • A real address. Our physical mailing address appears in every commercial email.
  • Easy unsubscribe. Every marketing email has a clear unsubscribe link. It works, it doesn't require you to log in or fill out a survey, and we process it right away — and always within ten business days.
  • Reply and we'll listen. Emailing us "unsubscribe," "stop," or "take me off your list" works just as well as the link.
  • Transactional email continues. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop necessary messages about work in progress, invoices, or your account — unless you ask us to stop all contact, which you're welcome to do.
  • B2B outreach. When we email a business to introduce ourselves, we follow the same rules: real identity, real address, working opt-out, immediate compliance.

9What "Consent" Means Here

Because texting and calling rules are strict — and because we take them seriously — here's exactly what we mean by consent and what we do with it.

What we disclose before you agree

Any form, checkbox, or script we use to obtain consent for marketing texts or automated calls clearly tells you, in plain language and before you agree:

  • That you are agreeing to receive marketing text messages and/or calls from Mapatano & Company LLC, identified by name;
  • That those messages or calls may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, a prerecorded or artificial voice, or an AI voice agent;
  • The phone number you're consenting for;
  • That your agreement is not a condition of purchasing anything;
  • That message and data rates may apply;
  • How to stop, and where to find this policy and our terms.

Consent boxes are always unchecked by default. We never bury consent in fine print, never obtain it through a pre-ticked box, and never treat someone else's consent as yours.

What we keep as proof

For every consent we rely on, we retain a record showing the date and time, the exact wording you saw or heard, the channel (web form, text, call, or signed document), the phone number or email address, and technical details such as the IP address for web submissions. We keep these records for at least five years so that we can honor your choices and demonstrate that we did.

Numbers that change hands

If you give us a phone number and later give up that number, please let us know. We also periodically check our lists against reassigned-number databases and stop contacting numbers that appear to have changed owners. If you've started receiving our messages at a number that used to belong to someone else, tell us and we'll remove it immediately.

10Changing Your Mind: Opting Out

The short version

You can withdraw consent any way that's convenient for you — text, email, phone, reply, or just telling us. We honor it, fast, and we don't ask you to justify it.

You can revoke your consent to be contacted by any reasonable means. All of these work:

ChannelWhat to do
TextReply STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPT OUT — or say it in your own words.
PhoneTell whoever you're speaking with, press the opt-out key on an automated call, leave us a voicemail, or call (719) 534-3505.
EmailClick the unsubscribe link, or reply and ask.
In writingEmail abe@mapatanoandcompany.com or write to the address in Section 1.
In personTell any member of our team.

We do not require you to use a specific word, a specific channel, or a specific form. If you make it clear you don't want to hear from us, that's enough — and the burden is on us, not you, to have understood you.

How fast: we act on opt-outs as soon as we receive them, and in every case no later than ten business days. Automated text opt-outs are effective immediately.

How broadly: if you ask us to stop contacting you, we treat that as applying to every channel — texts, calls, and marketing emails — and across all of our marketing programs, not just the one message you replied to. If you only want to stop one kind of message, tell us and we'll narrow it to exactly that. We'd rather over-honor your request than under-honor it.

What continues: if you're an active client, we'll still send the messages we need to send to do the work you hired us for — unless you tell us to stop those too.

11Do Not Call Lists

  • We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and keep names on it for at least five years — in practice, indefinitely.
  • We scrub our calling lists against the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state registries at least every 31 days.
  • Adding yourself to our internal list is free and takes effect immediately.
  • You can request a copy of our do-not-call policy at any time, and we'll send it.

12When We Work for Our Clients

The short version

When we run marketing for a client, their customers' data belongs to the client, not to us. We handle it on their instructions, we never merge it into our own lists, and we never reuse it for anyone else.

A large part of what we do is run advertising, texting, email, and calling programs on behalf of our clients — HVAC and other home-service companies. In that work, our client is the controller of their customers' and leads' information, and Mapatano & Company acts as a processor (a "service provider") on their behalf.

That means, when we're working for a client:

  • We process their customer data only for the purposes they've instructed and documented in our agreement.
  • We do not add their leads or customers to our own marketing lists.
  • We do not sell, share, or reuse their data for any other client, or for any purpose of our own.
  • We help our clients capture and store proper consent before any campaign goes out, and we build opt-out handling into every campaign we launch.
  • We pass along opt-outs, deletion requests, and privacy requests we receive to the client, and support them in responding.
  • We delete or return their data when the engagement ends, on their instruction.

If you received a text, call, or email from one of our clients and want to know who has your information or how to be removed, contact us and we'll route your request to the right business — and remove you from the campaign in the meantime.

13Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the people and companies who help us do the work, and only what they need:

WhoWhy
Service providersCRM, marketing automation, texting and calling platforms, email delivery, hosting, scheduling, analytics, and accounting tools that make our operation run.
Our clientsWhere we're running a campaign for them, and the information belongs to them (see Section 12).
Advertising platformsTo measure how our own ads perform. We do not upload phone numbers collected for texting to advertising platforms.
Payment processorsTo bill clients and process payments securely.
Professional advisorsOur lawyers, accountants, and insurers, when they need it.
AuthoritiesWhen the law genuinely requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
A future ownerIf our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer — and this policy's promises travel with it.

Every service provider we use is bound by contract to protect your information, use it only for the services they provide to us, and not use it for their own purposes.

14What We Never Do

Our commitments
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it in the past twelve months.
  • We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes — ever.
  • We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that would count as a "sale" or "share" under state privacy law without giving you the chance to opt out first.
  • We do not buy or use consent obtained by someone else on a lead-generation site and pretend it was given to us.
  • We do not penalize, deprioritize, or charge you differently for exercising a privacy right or opting out of messages.
  • We do not use dark patterns to obtain consent.

15Website, Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly, remember your preferences, understand which pages are useful, and measure our advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out signals. If your browser or extension sends one, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising and any sale or sharing of your personal information — no extra steps needed from you.

We may use third-party analytics and advertising services, including Google and Meta products. Those companies collect information under their own privacy policies, and you can usually opt out of their personalized advertising directly through their settings.

16How Long We Keep Things

WhatHow long
Consent and opt-out recordsAt least 5 years after the consent or opt-out, so we can prove we honored your choices
Do Not Call entriesIndefinitely — we never want to call you again by mistake
Prospect and lead informationUp to 3 years after our last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
Client records and contracts7 years after the engagement ends, for tax and legal reasons
Call recordingsUp to 12 months, unless needed longer for a dispute
Website analyticsTypically 14–26 months, per the platform's settings

When we no longer need something, we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you.

17How We Protect Your Information

We use encryption in transit, access controls that limit information to the people who need it, multi-factor authentication on our core systems, vendor review before we adopt a new tool, and regular deletion of what we no longer need. Our team is trained on these rules, and on this policy.

We'll be honest with you: no system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as the law requires, and we'll tell you plainly what happened and what we're doing about it.

18Your Privacy Rights

The short version

You can ask us what we have, get a copy, fix it, delete it, or tell us to stop using it for advertising. We'll do it, free, and we won't treat you any differently for asking.

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights. We extend them to everyone who asks, regardless of state, because it's the right way to operate.

  • Know and access. Ask whether we hold personal information about you, what categories we collect, where we got it, why we use it, who we share it with, and get a copy.
  • Correct. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to narrow legal exceptions — for instance, we keep opt-out and do-not-call records precisely so we can keep honoring your request.
  • Portability. Get your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling. Even though we don't sell your information, you can tell us not to use it for targeted advertising or certain profiling.
  • Limit sensitive data. Restrict our use of any sensitive personal information (we try not to collect any in the first place).
  • No retaliation. We will never deny you service, charge you more, give you less, or make it harder to work with us because you exercised a right.
  • Appeal. If we deny your request, you can appeal — see below.

Colorado residents: the Colorado Privacy Act gives you the rights above, and you may appeal any denial by replying to our decision or emailing us. We'll respond to appeals within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov/file-complaint.

California residents: you have the rights above under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be retaliated against. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we'll ask for proof of that authority.

Residents of other states with privacy laws — including Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others — have comparable rights, and we handle those requests the same way.

19How to Exercise Your Rights

Email abe@mapatanoandcompany.com, call (719) 534-3505, or write to us at the address in Section 1. Tell us what you'd like us to do — you don't need to use legal language or cite a statute.

  • We'll confirm that we received your request within 10 days.
  • We'll respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and take no more than 45 additional days.
  • It's free. We don't charge for privacy requests.
  • We may need to verify it's you — usually by confirming a couple of details we already have on file. We ask for the minimum necessary, and we don't use verification information for anything else.
  • Authorized agents are welcome, with written permission from you.

20Children's Privacy

Our services are built for businesses, and we don't market to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it right away.

21Links to Other Sites

Our website, emails, and messages sometimes link to other companies' sites and tools. Once you're there, their privacy policy governs, not ours. We choose our partners carefully, but we'd still encourage you to read what you're agreeing to.

22Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy when our practices or the law change. When we do, we'll change the "Last Updated" date at the top and post the new version at mapatanoandcompany.com. If a change materially affects how we use your information — particularly how we contact you — we'll tell you directly by email or text before it takes effect, and we'll ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.

We'll also keep prior versions available on request, so you can see what changed.

23Talk to a Human

Questions, concerns, corrections, or a request to be left alone — all of it goes to the same place, and a real person handles it.
